Age 85, of Clio, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Ascension Genesys. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. John's family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday to receive visitors from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. John was born in Flint, Michigan on July 24, 1936, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Anna (Housey) Adado. John met and married the love of his life, Antoinette Lupino on January 3, 1959. Sadly, she preceded him in death on May 4, 2018. When John was just a young man of 14, he started working for the family business so he could help take care of his mother and disabled father. He completed his apprenticeship to become a meat cutter and took a position in the butcher shop of the local grocery store. In 1978, John opened his own business, D&G IGA where he worked until 1985. From there, he went to work for Great Giant as a meat cutter until his retirement in 1998. John was a very respected, well-known man. John was a member of the Flintstones 4-Wheel Drive Club. For many years. He also went to motorcycle benefits with his daughter. John was very fun-loving and funny. He was the most generous man and would help anyone in need. Working in his yard was his favorite pastime. He loved to have a well-maintained yard as he enjoyed being outside bird watching. John had a boat and enjoyed taking his family out on the waters of Mott Lake and Lake Fenton. Above all, John was a devoted family man. He was known for his entertaining abilities and family picnics. John’s children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He will be greatly missed.

 

Left to cherish John's memory are his children: Ruth Adado, Christine Adado, Mark and wife Melanie Adado; grandchildren: Stephanie, Jeremy, Nina, Makenzie, Morgan, Madison; great-grandson, Sammy, and great-granddaughter, Journey.                                                   

 

John was preceded in death by his wife, Toni, parents, siblings: Ferris, Victoria, Phil, Mary, Julia; son: John; best friends: Brand and Walter.
