Obituary of Joseph Allen McGahey
Age 63, of Grand Blanc, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021, at home with his family by his side. In accordance with Joseph’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There are no further services scheduled at this time. Joseph was born June 12, 1958, in Victoria, Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Barbara (Hughes) McGahey. Joseph worked his entire career of 38 years, as a service technician in the home security industry for Guardian Alarm Company. Joseph was a huge University of Michigan football fan, but he enjoyed all sports. Watching his grandchildren play sports was his all-time favorite. He also spent much time outside working in his yard and creating projects out of wood. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was his favorite pastime. His family meant the world to him.
Left to cherish Joseph’s memory are his children: Nicholas and wife, Leah McGahey, Christopher and wife, Chynna McGahey, Melissa and husband, Fred Garza; grandchildren: Hayden, Ethen, Marlei, Bentlei, Preslei, Kaisen, Maivey, and Breckston.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father and three daughters; Betty, Danielle, and Michelle.
