Obituary of Elizabeth Katherine St. James

Age, 73, died on June 8, 2021, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 14, 2021, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Chaplin Hank Messing to officiate with burial at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery to follow. The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service. The family would like to extend an invitation to all for dinner following the burial at Tammy and Bob’s home. Those desiring may direct donations to American Liver Foundation, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared on Beth’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.  

Elizabeth “Beth” was born on May 8, 1948, in Flint, Michigan to Aletha Norine Hill.  Beth spent most of her younger years as a housewife taking care of her family. She was married to the love of her life, Dennis Patrick St. James on March 4, 1967. Beth enjoyed vacationing and camping with her family. She also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.

Beth leaves to cherish her memory two children: Tammy and husband, Bob Hall, Dennis and wife, Tracy St. James; five grandchildren: Nicole (Jaylen) Mangett, Jennifer Hall, Alex Gordon, Fred (Ashley) Gordon, and Caitlyn St. James; siblings Margie Kelley and Bobby Hill, close friends Barb Ross, Sandy Shriner, and Robin Wolverton, as well as many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, siblings Marilyn Vliet, Harold Hill, Raymond Hill, and Gail Nelson, as well as other close friends and family.
