Age 95, of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Symphony at Linden. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, May 28, 2021, at Crestwood Cemetery. Sarah Laroe and Daniel Herndon to officiate. The family will be present to receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Memorial Contributions can be directed to the Easter Seals or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, envelopes are available at the funeral home. ErmaLee was born in Toms Creek, Virginia on July 1, 1925, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. and Vena E. (Ketron) Lundy. ErmaLee graduated from Pound High School in Virginia. She met and married the love of her life Marvin Belcher, on March 10, 1951, in Flint. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 8, 1994. ErmaLee was a clerk for Troy Dry Cleaners until her retirement in 1987. ErmaLee was a member of the DAV Auxiliary #122 in Flint, which is now the new Chapter 3, VFW post #8236, and the American Legion-Flint Council. She loved to travel to Virginia to visit her family. ErmaLee was an avid watcher of John Wayne movies. She loved drinking Coca-Cola out of glass bottles or a fountain only, she would not drink it out of the can. Cooking for her family and hosting family get togethers was a joy to ErmaLee. She loved to go for car rides and see the animals, deer, turkey and other animals was a great past time of hers. When they went on family trips, they all used to sing together. She was a graceful woman and she made everyone feel welcome. She was the glue that held her family together. In her free time, ErmaLee love to play bingo and she had a fierce love for her family.

 

ErmaLee is survived by her children: James "Jimmy" and wife, Sandra Dorton, Debra Nitz, Marvin Belcher, Jr., son-in-law, Wayne Anderson; granddaughters: Marissa and husband, Daniel W. Herndon; Tara Anderson, Monica and husband, John Longest; Vanessa and husband, Brian Allinger, Kayla and husband Jeremy Raut; great-grandchildren: Megan, Taylor, Dallas and wife, Emily Herndon; Cheyenne Owens; Shiloh Longest; Jennifer Hope Allinger; David Michael Joseph Anderson; great-great-granddaughter, Symcah Rae Herndon. Life-long cherished friend, Colonel James Monroe Tompkins.

                                         

ErmaLee was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; parents, daughters: Marcia Anderson and Nita Belcher; son, Merlin David Belcher; sister; Marcella June Lundy, brothers, Maynard D. Lundy and Rexford H. Lundy. James Tompkins, long-cherished friend.
