Age 75, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in his home. In accordance with Chet’s wishes cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Chet’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com. 

Chet (Oppa/grandpa/gramps) was born in Flint, MI, on June 20, 1945, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Nola (Smith) Clark.  Educated locally Chet graduated from Hill McCoy High School in Montrose. Chet served in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, Chet went on to become a Foundry/Lineman for GM retiring when he was 59 years old with 38 and ½ years of service. He met, fell in love with, and was married to the love of his life Rosemary Sazehn on August 16, 1968, in Clio, MI. Chet was a loving and devoted husband and would always take care of his wife. He was a man of great character always helping anyone in need. Chet was very handy and often used this handiness to help people. He appreciated even the tiniest little thing anyone did for him. Chet was a wonderful man that loved to play with his grandchildren and great grandchildren he especially enjoyed making them laugh. His family was the love of his life. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Chet enjoyed fishing anywhere he could find water but especially in Lake Michigan for larger fish and smaller local lakes for smaller fish. He taught many of his family and grandchildren to fish. He loved to watch the Detroit Tigers play and would watch every game . Chet had an amazing vegetable garden, he was very proud of where he grew pumpkins for the grandkids. He loved to travel, especially to Lake Wales, Florida, with his precious wife of 52 years and 8 months. In his free time, Chet enjoyed playing Euchre, Rummy, Sorry, and Yahtzee.

Chet leaves to cherish his memory wife of 52 years: Rosemary Clark; son: Thomas and wife, Tammy Clark; daughter: Karol Barber; 10 grandchildren: Amanda and husband, Pat Yeager, Tommy and wife, Sarah Clark, Tiffany and husband, Ben Taljonick, Kayly and (Keanen Harrison) Clark, Cody and wife, Sammy Clark, Sara Croel, Suzanne Barber, Elizabeth (Calvin Tomka) Barber, Danielle Gerlach, Brianna Gerlach; six great-grandchildren: Evalyn, Ethan, Avery, Nahlia, Thomas, Amani; seven siblings: Terri Kirkpatrick, Tim Clark, Tracy "Beaver" and wife, Mary Clark, Scott Clark, Tammy Clark, Troy and wife, Karen Clark, Daniel Clark, Teresa Louchart,  T'Lynne and husband, Ben Seyfarth; sister-in-law: Marsha Clark; in-laws: Dorothy and husband, Howard Whitlock, John and wife, Marlene Sazehn, Pete and wife, Sheila Sazehn; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Chet was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law: Katherine Sazehn; brother: Thomas Clark; brother-in-law: Tony Sazehn.
