Age 67, of Mt. Morris, died on Friday, May 1, 2020, at Ascension Genesys in Grand Blanc, after many years of health problems. In accordance with Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Please visit Gary’s tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com.

Gary was born March 6, 1953, in Lancaster, South Carolina, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel and Nettie (Catoe) Plyler. As a young boy, Gary and his family would move to Michigan, where Gary was raised and educated in Flint. As a teenager, Gary moved to the West Coast, where he lived for several years. After returning to Michigan, Gary met Judy Attenberger. The two dated and fell in love. Gary married the love of his life, Judy, on May 8, 1981.

A devoted husband, dad, and grandpa, Gary loved spending time with his family.

He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 39 years, Judy; four sons: Brian, Robert, Matthew, and Timothy; six grandchildren; three sisters: Jennifer, Judy, and Carol; and several nieces and nephews.
