Obituary of William Judson Howard
Age 81, of Clio, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at Ascension Genesys, with his family by his side. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, Saturday, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Bruce Crockett will officiate with cremation to follow. Bill’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, from noon until the time of service. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Bill was born on October 23, 1938, in Russellville, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Judd James and Ida (Matzke) Howard. Raised in Russellville, Bill attended Bentley Schools. He would go on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, he continued to serve in the Army Reserves while working as a mechanic, retiring from S&S Auto Parts. On November 24, 1967, Bill and Sharon Spinney were united in marriage in Mt. Morris. Together they shared 52 years of marriage. Bill enjoyed working on cars, fishing, hunting, woodworking, cooking, and baking, raising his chickens, and spoiling his animals.
Bill leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sharon; sister, Carol Beehn; children: Carolann Hunt, Brian Howard, BJ and wife, Vickie Howard, Stacie and husband, Will Smith, Deanna and husband, Dave Brown, Tim Howard, and Cyndi and husband, Jason Verdun; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces; nephews; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffery Howard; and seven brothers.
