Obituary of Cecelia Sophia Baker

Age 92, of Clio, died Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Residence Skilled Care Bentley Manor. In accordance with Cecelia’s wishes, cremation has taken place, with burial to follow at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Morris. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 6, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Cecelia’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 10:30 am, until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Krapohl Senior Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Cecelia was born in Thetford Township, on March 17, 1927, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Elizabeth (Pason) Baker. Cecelia was educated locally and worked as a dishwasher for Herriman's Restaurant for many years before retiring. She was a longtime, devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church and SS Charles & Helena Catholic Church. Cecelia was also an active member of the Krapohl Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, puzzles, volunteering, and spending time with her friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Francis, and wife, Florence Baker; and several nieces; nephews; friends; and her extended family at Bentley Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph; and sisters, Ann and Victoria.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Staff and Residents of Bentley Manor # 11 and all of her many friends at the Krapohl Senior Center.
