Envelopes are available at the funeral home or church.

Al was born on July 7, 1923, in Unionville, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Lila (Fournier) Haemmerlein. Proudly serving his country in World War II, Al was deployed to the Pacific, with the United States Marine Corps. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Flint and went to work for Buick, retiring in 1981 as an inspector. Al and Norma Dupuis were united in marriage on August 26, 1950, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Flint. Sadly, Norma preceded him in death on July 12, 2018, after 68 years of marriage. Al was a lifetime member of the Davison VFW #4087 and the Marine Corps League #155. He was also a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and the Krapohl Senior Center. Al enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering, gardening and going to the casino.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Mary Anne and husband, Dale Hollister, and Teresa Sullivan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Harrison; brothers and sister-in-law: Bernadine McCarthy, Betty Moliterno, Donna Smith, Wally and wife,  Bev Dupuis, and Tootie Sekelsky; and many nieces and nephews.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Norma; and several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his special niece, Jackie Heiser, and the nurses at the Saginaw Veterans Hospital.
