Obituary of Robert D. Huber

Age 97, left us on September 24, 2019, surrounded by his immediate family. Robert was born to Clyde and Beulah Huber August 20, 1922, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Millersville High School in Pennsylvania and worked for his father at Huber Tool Co. Moving to Flint in 1957, he worked at AC Spark Plug in their model shop until his retirement in 1984. While retired, Robert was a great reader of history and politics, loved playing cards, watching western movies, doing jigsaw puzzles and Sudoku.

Robert is preceded in death by his first wife of 32 years, Helen Valkoun Huber, his second wife of 27 years, Eleanor Peistrack Huber, brother, Wayne Huber, and parents, Clyde and Beulah Huber.

He is survived by his sisters; Doris Groff of Crofton, Maryland and Fay Brubaker of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, daughters; Karen (Huber) Peter of Chesapeake, Virginia, Toni (Huber) Houston of Davison, and Michelle (Peistrack) Krol of Bay City; sons; Dale and wife, Martha Huber of Grand Blanc, John Peistrack of Sterling, and Gary Peistrack of West Branch; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life and luncheon will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Family Center, 1227 E. Bristol Rd., Burton, Michigan, 48529. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Robert's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House. Donations may be made through Robert's memorial page at martinfuneralhome.com.
