Obituary of Carol Janiece Crews

Age 86 of Millington, died Monday, March 18, 2019, at Fisher Convalescent Home in Mayville.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Vassar.  Pastor David Somers will officiate with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am.  Memorial donations may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Vassar.  Envelopes are available at the church. 

Carol was born February 19, 1933, in Millington, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos and Margarite (Smith) Hoard. Carol was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vassar, where she volunteered in many capacities.  She was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making quilts. 

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rhonda Reda; grandchildren, Michelle, Jada, Chris, and Summer; several great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald, and wife, Mary Lee Hoard; sisters, Velma and husband, Al Price and Norma and husband, Lloyd Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kim Baxter; siblings, Clyde Hoard, Raymond Hoard, Frances Jolly, and Robert Burch.
