Obituary of Allie L Watson

Age 83, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at McLaren Flint.  Funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Monday, March 18, 2019, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Rev. Fr. Roy Horning will officiate, with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm.  Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home. 

Allie was born May 30, 1935, in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Jessie (Wilson) Watson.  Allie proudly served his country in the United States Army until his Honorable Discharge.  He went to work for Buick, where he spent 42 years, until his retirement in 1997.  Allie and Margaret Shaver were united in marriage in 1962.  Sadly, she preceded him in death in 2012.  Allie enjoyed hunting, fishing, building model ships and spending time with his family. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his nephew, Barry and wife, Linda Watson; great-nephews, Ridge and wife, Abby Watson, Johnny and wife, Karissa Aviles, and Steven and wife, Krystal Aviles; great-niece, Petrina Aviles; several other special nieces and nephews; special friends, Clara Dowdell and Randy Mallory.  Allie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, Jimmie Paul Watson; two sisters, Jean Wellman and Corrina Slavik; and three brothers, Velden, Erwin and Frank Watson.
