Obituary of Elmore McNiel
Age 91, of Mt Morris, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at his home. Elmer's family will be present at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, to receive guests on Sunday, March 17, 2019, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. On Monday, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm with a private burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
He was born in Whittamore, Michigan, on August 9, 1927, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maylond and Martha (Wherely) McNiel. He graduated from Flint Northern High School with the class of 1945. He proudly served in the United States Navy for years until receiving his honorable discharge in 1949. He married the love of his life, Jeannine Gervais, in 1949. In his free time, Elmer enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was a member of PLAV Polish League of American Veterans Post #8 and the American Legion Post #64.
Left to cherish his memory are, his wife Jeannine; son Timothy McNiel; and many friends.
