Obituary of Daisy Jewel Knickerbocker

Daisy Jewel (Harris) (Wilkerson) Knickerbocker, age 89, of Flint, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. In accordance with Daisy's wishes, cremation has taken place, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in the spring. 

 

Daisy was born in Flint, on May 25, 1929. She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse and Ethel (Cooper) Harris. Daisy graduated from Flushing High School. She worked production for General Motors for many years, retiring from AC Spark Plug in 1977. She married Roland Knickerbocker on August 1, 1991. In her free time, Daisy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also loved fishing and sewing. She was a long time member of the Bristol Road Church of Christ and taught the ministry of the world Bible. She was known for her infectious laugh and will be greatly missed.

 

Daisy is survived by her husband, Roland R. Knickerbocker; daughter, JoDean Keown, of Florida; sons: Michael and wife, Julieanne Wilkerson, of Columbiaville, Duane and wife, Linda Wilkerson, of Presque Isle, brother Kenneth and wife, Patricia Harris, of Grayling, and sister-in-law, Ann Harris, of Flushing; one grandson; three granddaughters; four great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; one great-great-grandson; one great-great-granddaughter; a myriad of nieces and nephews.

 

Daisy was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Ethel Harris, brother Willard "Rube" and wife, VellaBea Harris; sister, Lorene and husband, Norman (Cub) Shoen, sister, Irene and husband, Howard Travis; brother Raymond and wife, Helen (Johnnie) Harris;  brother, Clois "Ward" Harris, brother, Richard and wife, Geraldine Harris; sister, Roberta and husband Carl King.
