Obituary of Dorma Hall

Please share a memory of Dorma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Age 81, of Clio, died, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at her home. In accordance with Dorma’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later time. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.

Dorma was born in Flint, on February 22, 1937, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Theodore and Ernistine (VunCannon) Knerr-Kelts.  She attended high school in Bay City and moved to Flint in 1955.  On May 5, 1956,  she and Richard Hall were united in marriage in Angola, Indiana. Their union bore four beautiful children. Dorma worked for the Clio School systems, as a bus driver for twenty-five years, before retiring in 1991 and was a beloved bus driver for the students. She was an avid softball player, who took her position as catcher very seriously and was on a league with fellow bus drivers. In her retirement, she enjoyed watching, learning, and caring for hummingbirds, and woodpeckers.  She also spent time up north with her binoculars feeding the deer and wild turkeys. When she was not outdoors, she could be found watching tennis, figure skating, and watching cooking programs and shows about Alaska.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 62 years Richard Hall, daughters: Cynthia and husband, Darril Easlick and Michele and husband, Jeff Brenner, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Martina Warren, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorma was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Mark and Joseph Hall.
