Obituary of Sigvulda C. "Sigie" Selleck
Sigvulda C. "Sigie" Selleck, 99, of Clio, formerly of Davison, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, August 20, 2018, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Sigie's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Monday, from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Sigie was born in Big Rapids. Michigan, on July 18, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Alice (Herrigan) Burgess. She married the love of her life, Edward Selleck on November 14, 1947, in Napolean, Ohio. Sadly, he preceded her in death. She worked production for AC Spark Plug for 23 years, retiring in the early 1970's. Sigie enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cottage, knitting, and crocheting.
Left to cherish her memory, daughter: Kathleen and husband, Dale Martin; stepson, Jerry and wife, Ruth-Ann Selleck, stepdaughter, Vivian and husband, Jim Hart; grandchildren: Allen and wife, Lizel Martin, Darren and wife, Sarah Martin, and Todd and fiancée, Windy Martin, Susan and husband, Joe Stock, and Kim and husband, Ken Heathcock, Jr.; and several great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. Sigie was preceded in death by, her parents, husband Edward; her daughter, Loretta; two sisters: Theresa and Peggy.
