Obituary of Franziska Johnson
Franziska Johnson, age 91, of Holly, formerly of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Medilodge of Grand Blanc. Funeral services will take place Friday, June 8, at 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris; with a private burial to be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Franziska’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family wishes. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Franziska was born on August 8, 1926, in Forchheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Fritz and Barbara (Babtistella) Pfeffermann. She and Leland Johnson were united in marriage on May 27, 1953. Sadly, he preceded her in death on December 10, 1991. In her free time, Franziska enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and spending time with her family. She was also an active member of Flint First Wesleyan Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dale and wife, Pamela Johnson, Tina Vessell, Fred and wife, Nancy Johnson, Barbara and husband, Tim Madsen; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Heinz Pfeffermann, and sister, Gretel Ackerman; many nieces, and nephews; and special friend, Nancy Prevo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leland, five brothers, and one sister.
