Obituary of Lena Huizar
Age 71, of Millington, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw, MI. In accordance with Lena’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 31.
Lena was born on March 5, 1947, to the late Jesus and Angelita (Ramos) Huizar in Akron, MI. For 25 years Lena worked for General Motors Steering Gear division, retiring in 1994. Upon her retirement, she spent her time doting on her family and playing in her flowers.
Lena is survived by her mother, Angelita; Daughter: Annette husband, Brian McLaren; Grandchildren: James McLaren, Taylor Kern, Michelle McLaren, Steven Reaver, Nicole Short; Great-Grandchildren: Logan McLaren , Payton Hartwick, Colton Short, Avaleigh Reaver, and Lyle Reaver (due any day); Sisters: Vera Aguirre, Emma Huizar, Nancy McTaggart, Jessie “Donna” Huizar; Brothers: Bob Huizar, John Huizar, Darrin Huizar.
Lena was preceded in death by her father, two of her great-grandchildren, Brothers: Dan Huizar, Ben Huizar, and Hank Huizar; and her beloved dog Bear.
