William "Bill" John Rogers, age 71, of Redford Township, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Providence Hospital of Southfield. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at North Baptist Church 4004 Lennon Road Flint 48532. Family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Bill was born May 12, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Wallace and Nellie (Wager) Rogers.
Bill graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1962. He worked in the restaurant industry in the Detroit area until his retirement.
Left to cherish his memory are his siblings Ted and wife Margaret Rogers, Wally and wife Dolores Rogers, and Harriet and husband Bob Benson; several nieces and nephews; friends including Joel Watkins and Frank Miller.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Robert Batson.
