Obituary of Sarah Violet Fritz

Age 92, of Mt. Morris died Monday, July 29, 2014, at McLaren Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Colonial Hills Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to In Touch Ministries at http://www.intouch.org/ . Sarah was born March 19, 1922, in Turner, Michigan the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Jantzi) Swartz. She and Dale Fritz were united in marriage on February 14, 1958, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Sadly, he preceded her in death on May 28, 1991. Sarah worked at the Mt. Morris High School as a kitchen worker and custodian retiring in 1987. She was a long time member of the Mt. Morris Mennonite Church and more recently of the Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at the Mt. Morris Mennonite Church. Nothing was more important than her faith in Jesus. In her free time she enjoyed cross-stitching, canning vegetables, reading and sharing her faith with others. Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Marlene and husband, John Heffernan; son, Rodney and wife, Denise Fritz; grandson, Patrick Heffernan; brother, David Swartz and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
