Obituary of Shirley Ann Finta

Of Vassar, age 77, died peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her home. Shirley was born February 25, 1929 in Flint the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oswald and Frances Harrison.\ She and Eugene Finta were united in marriage on April 26, 1952. \ \ Shirley enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, crafting, and shopping. Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren and at Hubbard Lake. She was also a long standing member of Grace Lutheran Church.\ Surviving are, son Roger and wife Ann Finta, son Dan Finta, and daughter Stacy and husband Warren Bierlein, grandchildren, Jayme and Zachry Finta, Kelsey and Alicia Bierlein, Emily, Alexandra, and Mallory Finta, sister Marilyn Taylor, brothers, Bill Harrison, and Don and Louise Harrison, sisters-in-law, Mary Ann and Bob Garrison, and Betty and Herb Kern, brother-in-law Vincent and Sue Finta, and many nieces and nephews.\ \ She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, parents Oswald and Frances Harrison, Alex and Anna Finta, and brother-in-law Mike Taylor.\ Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Grace Lutheran Church, Pastor Steven Abend officiating with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Shirleyas family will gather at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar to receive friends on Friday from 4:30pm until 9:00pm, and Saturday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at the church.\
