Obituary of Patsy Jean Wooten

WOOTEN, Patsy Jean "Pata (Abel)\ Of Mt. Morris, age 78, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Miles Martin Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Survance officiating. Cremation will follow. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 11:00am Sunday until time of service at 3:00 pm. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ Pat was born July 30, 1928 in Palestine, Arkansas the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Helen (Bryan) Abel. She and John Lee Wooten were united in marriage December 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death February 2, 1973. \ Pat retired in 1991from AC Spark Plug after 42 years of service. She first worked at Industrial Ave. and later transferred to Plant 7 as a floor inspector. \ She was an avid reader and went white water rafting. She enjoyed hot air ballooning and traveling. Pat loved her place in Rocky Point, Mexico.\ Surviving are daughters Carolyn and husband Louie Smorch of Mt. Morris.\ Diane and husband Stan Kubik of Goodrich,\ Cheryl and husband Mel Voelker of Shreveport, LA.;\ Grandchildren Andrea, Kimberly, David, Toni, Little Mel, Nikki, Johnny and Rachel;\ great grandchildren, Jesse, Brandon, Logan, Hannah, Ethan, Chloe, Julia, Brian, Samantha, Charlotte and Grafton. \ Special daughter Tonya Wooten;\ Brother Bill and wife Diana Abel of Florida;\ She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, son John Wooten II, special uncle David and her special friend Dick Lamb. \
