Yvonne Antoinette Mannor was born on June 20, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Deloris (Scherrer) Wilson. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School and then went on to further her education by obtaining her nursing degree through Mott Community College. Yvonne strived to provide quality care to as many patients as she could. She worked as a registered nurse for over 15 years at various medical institutes until her well-earned retirement in 2001 while working at the Genesee County Community Mental Health center. Yvonne met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life, Gaylord Mannor on April 23, 1960. Their marriage would be blessed with five wonderful children, to whom Yvonne cherished dearly. Sadly, Gaylord preceded her in passing on May 19, 2020.
Yvonne was very memorable and loved to socialize with those in her life. She was a longtime member of St. Marys Catholic Church and was very active in many groups associated with the church. She maintained an active role in the Altar Society and sang in the choir. In her free time, she loved to keep herself busy with various crafts and activities. She loved to sew and was an avid member of the Genesee Quilt Club. Most of all, she treasured her family and friends. Yvonne cherished creating memories with her children and grandchildren, and would often travel to attend important events to celebrate her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Amy and husband, Dennis Giannakakis, Barbara and husband, Paul Mueller, Cynthia and husband, George Zureikat, Douglas Mannor and girlfriend, Nancy; her 19 grandchildren; her 26 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Paul Wilson, Beth Gordon, Phil Wilson, Leonard Wilson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Yvonne was preceded in passing by her beloved husband: Gaylord; her parents; her son: Matthew Mannor; her daughter-in-law: Jennifer Mannor; and her siblings: Patrick Wilson, Pete Wilson, Louise Atkins, Timothy Wilson, and Thomas Wilson.
