Yoshiko Wing

Of Evart, formerly of Genesee, age 71, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at her residence. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Monday, October 6, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Clifford Jordan will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. YoshikoAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Sunday from 10:00am until 8:00pm and again on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Yoshiko was born September 1, 1937 in Aichi Ginowan, Okinawa the daughter of Teiho and Tsuru (Yara) Higa. She and Jerry Wing were united in marriage on January 20, 1962. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Jerry; children, Kim (John) Erwin, Dawn Wing and Jeff, Mark (Julie) Wing, Michelle Wing and John, and James (Kimberly) Wing; grandchildren, Erin, O'Ryan, Amaya, Landon, Allison, Teijin, Emily, Elizabeth, and one on the way; great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Connor; sister, Masako (Seiei) Shimabukuro; mother-in-law, Jennie Pompee; sister-in-law, Judy (Greg) Wright and her close Okinawan girlfriends. Yoshiko is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Teijin (Fumiko) Higa
