William "Bill" Nugent

Age 72, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at home, surrounded by his family. A funeral celebrating Bill’s life will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, May 26, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services- Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate, with burial to follow in West Vienna Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. Bill was born April 16, 1945, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert and Shirley (Watling) Nugent. He graduated from Clio High School. Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country. He and Patricia were united in marriage on August 8, 1986, in Flint. Bill worked for General Motors in production before retiring in 1998. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles and his dog, Fluffy. Bill belonged to UAW #599. He became a minister to officiate motorcycle weddings. Bill was a kind-hearted father, grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his three children: Pamela Camp, Tracey (Anita) Nugent, and Monique Nugent; three grandchildren: Kylee, Yonique, and Jason; sister: Janet Gaza; brother-in-law: Don (Jane) Kaake; cousin Faun Stevens; and special friend: Walt Heine. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Patricia, parents and son Dan Nugent.
