Wilburn Jenkins

Of Clio, age 92, died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. WilburnAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the wishes of the Jenkins Family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Wilburn was born January 2, 1916 in Fayette, Alabama, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis and Dora (Watkins) Jenkins. He and Virginia AaA"GinnyAaA Rash were united in marriage on November 9, 1947 in Arkansas. Wilburn was a dedicated employee at General Motors, where he worked as a polisher for 30 years. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Roger (Julie) Jenkins and Michael (Diana) Jenkins; grandchildren, Jesse, Raechel and Jessica; great-granddaughter, Gypsy and five brothers and sisters. Wilburn is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, his loving wife, Virginia and eleven brothers and sisters.
