VANCAMP, T. Virgil Of West Branch, formerly of Flint, age 78, died Thursday, July 31, 2008 at home. A private funeral service will take place 1:00 PM, Monday, August 4, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Sunday from 10:00 to 1:00 and 4:00 to 8:00. Memorial donations may be directed to the Heartland Hospice of West Branch. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Virgil was born January 7, 1930 in Deerfield Twp., Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Taft and Pearl (Wolcott) VanCamp. He and W. Elaine VanCamp were united in marriage August 10, 1962 in Flint. He was employed by AC Spark Plug for 26 1/2 years, retiring in 1987. Virgil was a great husband and father. He loved to cook, hunt, and was a jack of all trades, able to do any task asked of him. He will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts, sadly missed, and always respected. Virgil leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years, Elaine, daughter Brenda and husband Dennis Stebbins, stepdaughter Gay A. Miller, stepson Phillip E. Miller, two grandsons Lucas and wife Trista Stebbins, and Ryan Stebbins, great grandchildren Hailey and Dylan Stebbins, numerous in laws, nieces, nephews, and a special nephew Patrick S. and wife RaeAnn Loafman He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and stepson Scott A. Miller. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice of West Branch, nurse Pat, and nurseAaas aide Marge.
