Thomas H. Keyser, age 77, of Vassar, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Sunday, May 1, 2016, at his home in Vassar. The funeral service will take place 12:30 pm, May 10, 2016, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Tom’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Monday, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Tuesday from 11:000 am until time of service at 12:30 pm. Tom was born May 4, 1938, in Portsmouth, Ohio the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Harold and Gernet Ruth (Noel) Keyser. He married Edna on November 27, 2010, in Vassar. Tom proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam until receiving his honorable discharge. He worked for Fisher Body as a Paint Inspector for 30 years before retiring in 1999. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, antique shopping, watching Westerns, and dancing. Left to cherish his memory, his wife, Edna; daughter, Leslie (Mark) Wilmot; four grandchildren: Katie, Joseph, James, and Katrina Wilmot; five stepchildren; stepgrandson, Zack Eastburn; and their family dog, Zae. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother Steven and his dog muffin. Tom’s family would like to extend a special thank you to stepchildren: Rodney and Sherri Eastburn for all their love and care.
