Theodore "Ted" McClain

Age 63, of Millington, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home. A Celebration of life will take place, 1:00 pm, Friday, November 22, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Ted’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. There will be a private burial at Meadowview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Davison at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Ted’s tribute wall on martinfuneralhome.com.

Ted was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Elwood and Janet (Betz) McClain. Ted graduated from Lakeville Memorial High School with the class of 1979. He worked as a crane operator for Lobrec Metals USA in Flint for many years, until retiring in 2019. In his free time, Ted enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings on TV. He was also an avid University of Michigan fan. Ted also enjoyed playing golf, playing games on his computer. spending time outdoors riding quads. He was best known for his love of music and playing his bass guitar in the band 7:45.

Left to cherish his memory are his four siblings: Terry and wife, Kathy McClain, Cheryl and husband, Terry Nelson, Tony and wife, Jody McClain, and Cathy and husband, Joe Giddings; nieces, nephews; great-nieces, great-nephews; cousins and friends.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents: Elwood and Janet McClain.
