Thelma Lewis

Of Clio, formerly of Flint, age 85, went home to be with the Lord, on her heavenly birthday, Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Maple Woods Manor. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Thelma was born August 5, 1923 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Myron and Ruth (Stokoe) Wait. Thelma and Forest Guy Lewis were united in marriage in 1942. He preceded her in death. She was employed by Goodwill Industries for many years, and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Flint. Thelma leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Glena and husband Ted Koehler, Linda and husband Charles Strasser, Gary and wife Gail Lewis, Cheri Pedley, and Michael Lewis, 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Fred and Ivan, grandson Mark, father in law and mother in law Elwyn Guy and Linnie (Spillers) Lewis.
