Theda Curtis

Of Genesee, age 77, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at her home in Florida. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday, 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, from 12:00 noon until time of service at 1:00 pm. Theda was born November 14, 1935, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Lorna (McKeon) Blanchard. She and Bruce Curtis were united in marriage August 15, 1953. Theda was a cook for the IMA Food Service, for over 30 years, until her retirement. Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Terry and wife, Kim Curtis and Dale and wife, Lori Curtis; former daughter-in-law, Patricia Curtis; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and step-brother, Roland Blanchard. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Bruce; and two son, Larry and Kelvin.
