Ted Wood

Age 67, of Grand Traverse, Michigan, died Friday, May 3, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. A Memorial Mass celebrating Ted’s life will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mount Morris. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning to officiate. Ted’s family will be present to receive guests at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial mass at 11:00 am. In accordance with Ted’s wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. Ted was born February 22, 1952, in Flint, to Mr. and Mrs. Holly and Geraldine (Denker) Wood. In 2006, he retired from the AMF Corporation. Ted enjoyed spending time with his family, going up north, hunting, fishing, camping. He loved his grandkids and was an avid Tigers Baseball fan. Left to cherish his memory are his sons: Nickolas and wife, Rachelle Wood, Ted Wood and fiancée Bailey Lautner, and Zachary Wood; grandchildren: Noah, Kalyne, Adalynn, and Alyvia; brothers: Duane Wood, and Kevin and wife, Linda Wood; sister-in-law, Carol Wood; special friends, Bob and Melanie “Sweetie” Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Glenda Wood, brothers: Terry Wood, and Gary Wood; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Wood.
