SuEllen Salim

Age 71, of Clio, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Cranberry Park Assisted Living in Clio. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private committal service will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. SuEllen was born on June 21, 1953, in Saginaw the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George M. and Marguerite (Kingsley) Smith. She and Dennis Salim were united in marriage on January 11, 1992. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2022. SuEllen attended and graduated from Beecher High School, and her career path would lead her to working at the prosecuting attorney’s office and for General Motors. She worked at Ternstedt Assembly on Coldwater Rd until her retirement. Throughout her life she loved animals and always had a pet and enjoyed going to beaches, looking for shells and Petoskey Stones. She will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her brothers and sisters: Susan Shimmons and Bill Ayotte, Michael and wife, Diane Beito, Gary Smith, and Melissa and husband, Tom Martin, nieces and nephews: Tina and Tony Como, Amy Shimmons, Michele Beito, Michael Beito, Valerie Beito and Michael Swiatkowski, Matthew Beito, Jeremy Beito, Sarah Martin and Steven Zavala and Stephen Martin, aunt, Carol Vickers, best friend, Barb, and many other cousins and friends.

SuEllen was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Elsie Smith, husband, Dennis, sister, Lynette and her brother, Phil Beito.
