Of Clio, age 79, died Friday, November 7, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Rev. Bill Christensen will officiate. Private Burial will take place at 2:30 pm, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday, 12:00 pm until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Shirley was born May 24, 1935, in Harrin, Illinois, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Eva (Daugherty) Fann. She was united in marriage in 1952, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, with Elmer Fann. She liked to play bingo, travel and attend gospel concerts. Shirley was a caring and loving wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are husband, Elmer; two sons, Danny Fann, Andy and wife, Pam Fann; Daughter, Sandy and husband, Melvin Stokes; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Randy and Ronald Fann; grandchildren, Ronald Alan Fann, Shirley Ann Fann, and Mandy Fann. Family would like to extend a thank you to Stacy Fann and the staff of Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care.
