ENGELHART, Shirley Ann age 87 of Vassar, died at home on Saturday, February 1, 2014, surrounded by her family. Funeral service will take place 11:00 am Tuesday, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Vassar. Pastor Christopher White will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Monday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, Shirley will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Luke Lutheran Church or the Family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Shirley was born April 30, 1926, in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris and Beatrice (Duprey) McNally. She and Leroy Engelhart Sr. were united in marriage on June 12, 1948, in Vassar. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved spoiling her grandchildren! Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Marilynn and husband, Ted Martin, Karen and husband, Doug Bey and Cindy Engelhart and Chris Lane; daughter-in-law, Donna Engelhart; six grandchildren, Megan and husband, Brian Anderson, Seth and wife, Melissa Martin; Luke and wife, Brooke Turner, Kasey Bey, Rachel and husband, Jason Gray and Elizabeth Budzinski; six great-grandchildren, Molly and Liam Anderson, Catherine and William Martin and Landon and Holden Turner; sisters-in-law, Patricia McNally and Emma Bellejack; and brother-in-law, Ervin and wife, Janet Engelhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Engelhart Sr.; son, Leroy Engelhart Jr.; great-grandson, Hudson Turner; and three brothers, Donald McNally, Robert McNally and Morris McNally.
