Sandra Faxlanger

Age 89, of Mt. Morris, died March 21, 2025, with her family by her side. A Memorial Mass will take place, 11:00 am, Monday, May 12, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2316 West Coldwater Rd, Flint, MI 48505. Rev Fr. Thomas Firestone officiating. Sandra’s family will be present to receive friends at the church on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 am until the time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. Sandra was born November 28, 1935, in Ann Arbor, Michigan; she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James and Lucielle (Caster) Hawk. Educated locally, Sandra graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School with the class of 1953. Sandra met, and married the love of her life, Edward Faxlanger, Sr. for 63 years. Sadly, he preceded her in death August 25, 2021. In her free time, Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed making baby blankets for the Women’s Center in Milton, Florida, baking - especially banana bread, crocheting, as well as volunteering at her church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Donald (Melissa) Faxlanger, James (Melissa) Faxlanger, John (Donna) Faxlanger, Phil (Kenda) Faxlanger, Teresa (Jim) Harrelson, and Mary (Billy) Garrard; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Yanta; and many other family members, and friends.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; son, Edward, Jr.; and her brother, James.
