Age 25, of Mt. Morris died Wednesday, August 20, 2014. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 24, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Patricia A. Crews will officiate with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Clio. Ryan’s family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday, to receive friends from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Sunday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family fund. Ryan was born February 28, 1989, in Flint the son of Annalee (Hewitt) and stepfather, Jay Atkerson and his father, Tracy Murany. Ryan attended Mt. Morris High School until 2006. He worked at Meijer in Grand Blanc. Ryan was known best for being able to tell a story and making others laugh, spending time with his family, playing car racing and UFC Fighting Games on Xbox, playing the drums and disc golf, shooting guns, snowmobiling and tubing behind the family boat, he was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings, watching drag racing and UFC fights and boxing in backyard boxing matches. Left to cherish his memory, mother, Annalee (Hewitt) and stepfather, Jay Atkerson and his father, Tracy Murany; brother Christopher Joe Atkerson; fiancée, Shawna St. John; grandparents Joan Corwin, Ray (Naomi) Hewitt, and James (Sally) Stuart; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ryan was preceded in death by two grandfathers Samuel Corwin and David Murany and two cousins Eshton Hewitt and Alleigh Jordan.
