RUST, Russell A. Age 82, of Zephyrhills, Florida died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Dade City, Florida. The Funeral Mass will take place 11:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial at Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home 5-8pm Wednesday, 12-4 and 5-9 Thursday. On Friday morning, Russell will be taken to church where friends may call from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be considered for Hernando-Pasco Hospice Care Center in Dade City, Florida. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and at church. Russell was born October 8, 1925 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Lena (Nelson) Rust. He and Betty Isaacson were united in marriage in Flint, Michigan on February 15, 1947. Russell was a veteran of WWII having served his country in the US Navy. He retired from General Motors Ternstedt Plant where he worked as a Supervisor and an electrician for twenty eight years. Russell was a member of Jr. Chamber of Commerce and Mt. Morris Knights of Columbus. Russell recently moved to Zephyrhills, but his home state was Michigan. He enjoyed hunting and also traveling with his RV for many years. He was a great father and husband and will be greatly missed by his family. Surviving are his wife, Betty Rust of Zephyrhills, Florida; Daughter, Janice Rust of Aspen Colorado; Granddaughter, Megan Rust of Aspen, Colorado; Brother, Don and wife Anna Rust of Flint; Sisters, Dolores Tanner of Flint and Madelyn Bunis of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Randall Rust. Friends may share a memory with the family at the funeral home, at church or online at www.martinfuneralhome.com.
