Rudy Kosik

Of Essexville, age 84, died Friday, December 14, 2012 his home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove with burial to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Rudy's family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive friends from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to McLaren Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Rudy was born December 23, 1927, in Hesperia, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John and Bertha (Vargo) Kosik. He and Alice Gage were united in marriage February 23, 1949. Rudy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, farming, woodworking, making sun catchers and winning money at the casino. Left to cherish his memory wife of 63 years, Alice; three children, Dan Kosik, Cindy (Mike) Enos and Dale (Jodi) Kosik; six grandchildren, Kelly (Scott) Clark, Lacey Budrey, Chris, Ashley, Rachel and Morgan Kosik; five great-grandchildren, Aiden, Emma and Alice Clark, Leo and Abigail Paveglio; five siblings, Earnest Kosik, Verna Stoick, Anna Firestone, Joseph (Elaine) Kosik and Kitty (Paul) Calopisis. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and son, Glen Kosik
