age 92, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Flint. Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Graveside Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion #158. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, Roy will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Roy was born January 24, 1923, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton and Emma (Dunkel) Schroeder. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his Honorable Discharge, he returned to Flint, and began his career at AC Spark Plug where he worked for over 40 years. Roy and Erdene Booth were united in marriage July 8, 1946, in Lapeer, Michigan. He was an active member at Our Savior Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday School, served as an Elder, and volunteered in a variety of other ways. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Dennis Schroeder and Tracy, Reed Schroeder, Neil and wife, Judy Schroeder, Carole and husband, Del Jacob and Keith Schroeder; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence and wife, Deanna Schroeder, and Ralph and wife, Fran Schreoder; sister, Betty Wotowicz; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and five siblings.
