ROSEMARY B. JOHNSON Of Vassar, age 84, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at home. The funeral service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Greater Ephesians Church of God in Christ in Vassar. Superintendent Harold Jones will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar to receive friends on Thursday from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. Friday morning Rosemary will be taken to church where friends may call from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring, may consider memorial contributions to the Rosemary Johnson Community Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Rosemary was born April 11, 1926 in Gary, IN the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Augustus and Susie (Buchanon) Harper. She was employed at Vassar Manufacturing also known as Means and was a member of UAW. Rosemary enjoyed shopping, bird watching, fishing, dancing, was an avid reader, gardening and loved people. Surviving are her children, Sandra Junior, Lagusta Bables, Frederick and wife Karen Bables, Margaret and husband Tony Trice and Pamelia Northern; grandchildren, Thomas Junior, Charese and husband Quinton McLean, Kevin and wife Brenda Bables, Brian Bables, Viva Swinton, Annezetta and husband Harold Fuller, Susan and husband Pat Streeter, Mario Bables, Angela and husband Jaron Smalley, David Northern, Nicolas Northern and Alvin Northern; 30 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, Carson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Willie Bables and second husband, Samuel Johnson, 3 grandsons, Darryl Paul Bables, Sederick Bables and Frederick Bables, Jr., son-in-law, Louis Junior, siblings, Alice Smith, Mattie Galmore, Julius Harper and Manuel Harper.
