Age 93 of Mt. Morris, died Friday, September 20, 2024, at Cranberry Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am, Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning to officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Rosemary’s family will be present to receive friends from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. On Tuesday evening, at 6:00pm, family, friends, and parish will gather to pray the rosary. On Wednesday morning, Rosemary will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Rosemary was born January 7, 1931, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard and Irene (Carto) Welch. She met and married the love of her life, Lewis J. Dorman, on August 2, 1964. Sadly, he preceded her in death on November 8, 2009. Rosemary was employed through General Motors where she worked on the Assembly Line for 30 years, until her retirement in 1980. Rosemary was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church for many years where she took part in the Altar Society, St. Theresa Guild, and volunteered at St. Vincent DePaul. In her free time, Rosemary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and reading.
Left to cherish Rosemary’s memory are her son, Ray and wife, Tami Armbruster; five grandchildren, Monica, Mark, Andrew, Aaron, Alex; four great-grandchildren; brothers: Jack and wife, Judy Welch, Dale and wife, Maureen Welch; sister, Betty Temple; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lewis J. Dorman; daughter, Julie; and siblings: Jim (Harriet) Welch, Donald Welch, Paul (Rosie) Welch, Barbara (Don) Smith.
