Roger Wilson

October 5, 1942 — September 25, 2013

Of Fairgrove, age 70, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the CrossWay Assembly of God, 2200 S. Reese Rd. Reese, MI 48757. Pastor Richard Oliver will officiate with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Roger's family will be present at church to receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Mid-Michigan Teen Challenge, 818 S. Michigan Ave. Saginaw, MI 48602. Envelopes are available at the church. Roger was born October 5, 1942, in Bay City, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin and Agnes (Stein) Wilson. Roger worked at Saginaw Steering Gear for many years until his retirement. Roger was an active long time member of the Christian Motorcycle Association CMA and was very involved in his church evangelizing and blowing the Shofar before praise and worship. He also enjoyed woodworking and deer hunting with his son and friends. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Caro Post #7. Left to cherish his memory are his two children; Melony McCoy and Michael and wife Pat Wilson; two grandchildren; Kyle Adams, Kayla Holubec; mother, Agnes Raymond, brother Alan Wilson of Florida and nephew Chris Wilson of Las Vegas and his dog Kita. Roger was preceded in death by his father Edwin, wife Kathryn, and daughter Tamara.
