Of Vernon Hills, IL, age 50, died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, in Chicago. Family received friends on Monday, March 29, 2010 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Avenue (Rt. 176) Libertyville, IL. A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 30, 2010, 7:00pm, at The Chapel, 1200 American Way, Libertyville, IL, with Pastor Greg Krumes officiating. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 11:00am at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, in Mt. Morris, MI. Memorial donations may be considered to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 615 W. Washington Blvd. #400, Chicago, IL 60661. Roger was born September 13, 1959 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon and Betty (Frazier) Haynes. He was a 1977 graduate E.A. Johnson High School in Mt. Morris, and studied at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. Roger was an accomplished guitarist and musician who composed many songs and recorded several CDAaas. He was a long time member, lead singer, and guitarist, for AaA"The Blues Dawg BandAaA and also played in the AaA"Walk the WalkAaA Christian band. He was employed at the Music Gallery in Highland Park, IL, and was a member and musician at North Shore Community Church in Libertyville, IL. Roger is survived by his wife Gail (LaFleur)Haynes, daughter, Leigha Haynes of Vernon Hills, IL, mother, Betty Haynes, of Mt. Morris, MI, and sisters, Dianne (John) Corcoran, of Mt. Morris, MI, and Janice (Bruce) Knight, of Clio, MI, brother, Bruce (Martha) Haynes, of New Palestine, IN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon, in 2005.
