Rodney Walters

Of Saginaw, age 51, died Wednesday March 14, 2012 at McLaren-Bay Region. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, March 19, 2012, at the Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Compton will officiate, with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, from 1:00 pm until 6:00pm and Monday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial offerings are suggested to the discretion of the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Rodney James Walters was born September 22, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Keith and Dolores (Soltysiak) Walters, Sr. Ron married Pamela Joyce Zeitz in 1982; she predeceased him in 2007. Rodney was lovingly devoted to his family, deer hunting, fishing, roofing and caring for his wife's beloved dogs. He will be greatly missed. Ron leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Amanda Zeitz; two sons, Jeremiah (Lisa) Walters and Justin Walters; five brothers; one sister; and many other loving family members, friends, and roofing buddies. He was preceded in death by mother, Dolores; wife of 25 years, Pamela; and two brothers.
