Rodney "Rod" Gleeson

Age 59 of Flint, died, Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc. A graveside service will take place Saturday, June 7, 2014, 1:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery Chapel in Vassar. Per Rod's request, please wear your favorite U of M or MSU attire! Flowers may be sent to the cemetery the day of the service. Rod was born July 6, 1954, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jacob and Betty Lou (Germain) Gleeson. Growing up in the Gilford area, Rod graduated from Reese High School. He would go on to work for General Motors at Buick, for 30 years, until his retirement. He was a member of the UAW # 599. Rod was an avid U of M Fan, and also enjoyed watching football, camping, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Judy Reeve; three children, Christopher and wife, Chrystal Gleeson, Jason and wife, Samantha Gleeson and Mindy Gleeson; eight grandchildren; two loving sisters, Deborah and husband Ed Hatfield and Patricia Hatfield; and several nieces; nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. GO BLUE!!!
