Age 84, of Vassar, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper in Saginaw, with his family by his side. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 1:00 pm at St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church, 334 Division St. in Vassar, with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery & Mausoleum in Saginaw. Robert's family will be present at church to receive guests on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until the time of Mass at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to a charity of your choice. Envelopes are available at the church. Robert was born in Freeland, on October 30, 1934, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick and Evelyn (Ridge) Neuenfeldt. He married Carolyn Narlock on February 19, 1966, in Saginaw. Sadly, she preceded him in death on May 19, 2011. He worked as an Inspector for Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 4, for 32 years, retiring in 1985. In his free time, Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, doing yard work, gardening, taking drives in his car, fishing, camping, and going to the casino. Left to cherish his memory are daughter, Shelley (Howard) Lazzaro; granddaughter, Ashley (Scott) Kittle, and their children Zarina, Zeke, and Zeffie; grandson, Nathan Holzhei (Alexis Cox); children from a previous marriage; Jewel E. (Marilyn) Neuenfeldt and family, Leena M. Smith and family; siblings: Louise Holubik, Melva Bell, Fredrick (Arlene) Neuenfeldt, and Bonnie (Gary) Miller. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carolyn; two brothers: Duane and James Neuenfeldt; daughter, Kaye Louise Neuenfeldt, favorite grand puppy, Gussy.
