Age 85, of Clio, was reunited with his life partner of 20 years, Alice Reid at home surrounded by his family on January 28, 2025. In accordance with Bob’s wishes, a private burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Robert’s tribute page on martinfuneralhome.com.
Robert was born on March 14, 1939, in Lake City, Arkansas, he is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert J. and Dorothy (Baker) Moore. Shortly after graduating from high school, Bob would heed the call of duty, enlisting in the United States Army serving for two years until earning his honorable discharge. Returning to civilian life, Bob would move to Michigan and begin working at General Motors as a fork truck operator for 30 years, retiring in 1991. Bob loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, tending to his garden and taking naps under his apple tree. He also enjoyed having his morning coffee and breakfast with his longtime friends at the Bray Road Diner.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Robert D. Moore; grandchildren: Jacob and Abigail Moore; great-granddaughter, Eviana; siblings: Beverly Ann (Frank) Verga, Sharon (Dave) Linde, Terry Moore, and Bruce Moore; many other family members and special friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Bradley, Burley, Vivian, and Alma; and his life-partner, Alice Reid.
