Robert Mcbride

age 79 of Mt. Morris died Thursday, March 30, 2006 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 3, 2006 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris with Pastor Betty Gamboa officiating with burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Robert's family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris 4:00 - 8:00pm Saturday; 12:00pm - 4:00pm and 5:00- 7:00pm Sunday. Memorial donations may be directed to the First United Methodist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Robert was born July 23, 1926 in Durand, Michigan- son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Edith (Hayward) McBride. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre He and Mildred Mason were united in marriage on May 21, 1951 in Angola, Indiana. He enjoyed cooking, watching sports, and playing with his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years Mildred; children Steven and wife Christina McBride from Fenton, Brian and wife Tricia from Swartz Creek, D'Lynn and husband Kevin Pollock from Ludington, 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin, Meghan, Sean, Brendan, and Mackenzie. Sister Rita Stevens from Tennessee and brother Dale and wife Rhona McBride from Swartz Creek, several in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and Sister Elaine Weins.
