Robert Kilkoin

Of Burton, age 84, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery with Military Honors. Family will receive friends at Miles Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21, from 11:00am until 2:00pm and 5:00pm until 8:00pm. On Thursday morning, Mr. Kilkoin will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the St. MaryAaas Catholic Church and American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Robert was born September 19, 1925 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and Ervila (Foote) Kilkoin, Sr. Robert was a Captain in the Genesee County SheriffAaas Reserve Unit. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed camping and fishing in his younger years. Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Mary; nieces, Laurie, Alice and husband, Darrell of Seattle, Linda; dear friend, Claudia Burrell and special friends Bob and Frankie Hildebrandt. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lillian; second wife, Betty; brothers, Bill and Thomas.
